Mata Siddhidatri is the ninth incarnation of Maa Durga. There is a rule to worship Mata Siddhidatri on the ninth day of Navratri. Mata Siddhidatri is very giving in nature and is known to fulfil all the wishes of her devotees. The extent of her grace is infinite. On this day, the fast of nine days of Navratri (Mahanavami) is also completed, so the body and mind of the devotees are full of energy. This energy is also called Siddhidatri by many Siddha devotees because nothing remains impossible for a person who worships Mata Siddhidatri during Navratri according to Hindu scriptures.

When is Mata Siddhidatri Worshipped?

Mata Mahagauriis usually worshipped on the ninth day of Chaitra Navratri 2023 which falls on Thursday, March 30, 2023.

Form of Mata Siddhidatri

Siddhidatri is the ninth form of Maa Durga. Siddhidatri is worshipped on the last day of Navratri. Maa Siddhidatri is also said to be a form of Mahalakshmi and Mahasaraswati. It is also believed that the divine power of all the goddesses is present in Mata Siddhidatri. She holds a chakra in one hand, a flower in another, a mace in the third one and a conch in the fourth hand. Her form looks like that of Mahalakshmi.

Benefits of Worshipping Siddhidatri on Mahanavmi

Worshipping Mata Siddhidatri on the last day of Navratri gives eight types of siddhis. Some of these achievements are as follows:

  1. Anima Siddhi – Making your body smaller like a molecule
  2. Mahima Siddhi – Enlarging the size of your body
  3. Garima Siddhi – To increase the weight of your body to a huge extent
  4. Laghima Siddhi – Making your body so light that it can be blown up in the air
  5. Prapti Siddhi – Being able to go to any place without any restrictions
  6. Prakamya Siddhi – Being able to understand the mind of others easily
  7. Ishattva Siddhi – The Siddhi similar to that of God. In literal terms, it means seeing everyone equally and eliminating their sorrow
  8. Vashitva Siddhi – Being able to keep others under your control

Worship Method of Mata Siddhidatri

On the ninth day of Navratri (Mahanavami), the Kalash installed in the house should be worshipped before the worship of Maa Siddhidatri. Before worshipping the Kalash, it is very beneficial to meditate and worship Shri Ganesh, Gauri, Mahadev and Navagraha and Matruka. After cleaning the picture or idol of Mata Siddhidatri, the goddess should be invoked. Mata should be offered with incense, lamp and naivedya. It is said that new types of bhog should be offered to the goddess. Girls should be offered gifts and food on this day to please Maa Siddhidatri. Red colored clothes must be offered to the goddess. Devotees should also wear fresh clothes on this day. After the puja, the Prasad is distributed among the devotees.
